Machine Polishing
For machine polishing, there are three stages to choose from. There is no right or wrong it is just your preference as to which standard you want your vehicle to be after a machine polish, whether that's removing some light swirls and scratches to more moderate swirls and scratches and, finally, stage 3, which provides the best results possible.

Restoration of Gloss & Shine
By effectively removing defects, machine polishing restores the gloss and shine to the vehicle's paintwork. Over time, factors like UV exposure, environmental contaminants, and improper washing techniques can dull the paint's finish. Machine polishing brings back the vibrancy and depth of color, making the paint look newer and more attractive.
Overall, machine polishing plays a crucial role in restoring, refining, and protecting the paintwork of vehicles, ultimately enhancing their appearance and value. However, it's essential to use the appropriate techniques, products, and equipment to achieve the desired results while minimizing the risk of damage to the paint surface.
MACHINE POLISHING PACKAGE
Stage 1 Paint Correction or Single Stage Paint Enhancement is just that, polishing the paint work in one stage or one step with only one type of polish and pad combination. This is suited to paint work in good condition already that have no real visible swirls and only very minor marring – the Stage 1 or Single Stage Machine Polish involves refining the paint work with a finishing polish and a finishing pad only and is generally not abrasive enough to remove swirl marks and scratches, it is then followed by a wax or paint sealant to protect the paint work.

Stage 2 Paint Correction is suited to cars that have moderate swirl marks and light scratches and involves using 2 different polish and pad combinations; the first step is generally a cutting (abrasive) polish or compound to remove imperfections such as swirl marks, light scratches and other moderate paint defects. This is followed by a finishing polish and finishing pad to refine the paint work even further by removing any marring or holograms left by the previous step, it is then followed by a wax or paint sealant to protect the paint work.

Stage 3 Paint Correction is suited to cars that have heavy swirl marks, scratches and other paint defects, it involves using 3 different polish and pad combinations, and this can also include spot wet sanding for heavier scratches. The first step is a heavy cutting compound with a heavy cutting pad to remove those deeper swirl marks and scratches, the second step is a cutting polish and polishing pad to remove further swirls marks followed by the finishing polish and finishing pad to further refine the paint work to a swirl, mar and hologram free finish, it is then followed by a wax or paint sealant to protect the paint work.

Professional Results: When used correctly, machine polishing can achieve professional-grade results that significantly enhance the appearance and value of a vehicle. Professional detailers often rely on machine polishing to deliver showroom-quality finishes and exceed customer expectations.
Overall, machine polishing is a highly effective and efficient method for improving the appearance and condition of automotive paintwork, offering numerous benefits for both professional detailers and enthusiasts alike.
Before machine polishing, decontamination of the vehicle's paintwork is crucial to ensure optimal results and prevent damage to the paint surface. Decontamination typically consists of several steps:
Washing the Vehicle: Start by thoroughly washing the vehicle using a high-quality car wash shampoo and plenty of water. This removes loose dirt, debris, and surface contaminants, preparing the paintwork for further decontamination steps.
Clay Bar Treatment: After washing, clay bar treatment is used to remove bonded contaminants that washing alone cannot eliminate. Clay bars are made of a malleable clay-like material that grabs onto contaminants as it is rubbed across the paint surface. This process removes embedded contaminants such as tar, road grime, industrial fallout, and tree sap, leaving the paint smooth and clean.
Iron Fallout Removal: Iron fallout, which includes tiny particles of iron from brake dust and other sources, can embed itself into the paint and cause rust spots over time. Iron fallout remover products chemically dissolve these particles, making them easier to rinse away. This step is particularly important for light-colored vehicles where iron particles may be more visible.
Tar Removal: Tar spots can adhere to the paint surface and are often challenging to remove with regular washing. Tar removal products are applied to dissolve and lift these sticky residues, making it easier to wipe them away without damaging the paint.
Final Rinse: After completing the decontamination steps, thoroughly rinse the vehicle with water to remove any remaining residue from the decontamination products.
By thoroughly decontaminating the paintwork before machine polishing, you ensure that the surface is clean and free from contaminants that could interfere with the polishing process. This helps to achieve better results and minimizes the risk of introducing scratches or other damage during polishing. Additionally, a clean surface allows the polishing compounds and pads to work more effectively, resulting in a smoother and more refined finish.
